It makes sense that society as a whole is restless and confused. It doesn’t take long of looking at the media to discover why. But what about churches? What about Christians? Why are they part of the restlessness?

When lines are blurred and values are compromised, confusion abounds. Instead of bringing clarity to people, however, many Christians are following along with the crowd. Like Augustine said, our rest comes when we rest in God. So, the choice is ours. We can go along with the increasingly blurred lines of societal values, or we can decide to stand on the foundation we have in Christ and show others how the consequent peace is available to them as well.
