You’re a Christian? I had no idea!

Mixing work with faith can be tricky, especially with how easily people get offended over anything. Does that mean it should have no impact on how we view and behave at our place of employment?

The Bible has several passages that talk about how people should notice something different in Christians — Something that isn’t like everyone else. This “something” may look different depending on the situation. Maybe it’s comfort when someone is going through a rough time, or patience when a customer is being difficult. Whatever it is, it’s something that reflects God’s love.

This is something that has always been big for our family, and our parents have modeled it well. Over the years, we have watched numerous times as our parents went out of their way to help others. Make no mistake, this doesn’t mean they allow people to walk all over them. Instead, they have modeled for us a balance of firmness and kindness that has helped shape our view toward living out our faith. Being a Christian doesn’t mean you have to preach everywhere you go. It means you follow the example of Christ, regardless of your surroundings.
